A Fresh Start in Jakarta Selatan

We recently undertook a project to transform a two-bedroom apartment in Jakarta Selatan, featuring captivating views of the cityscape. The apartment was sparsely furnished after the owner’s extended stay in Asia, and our goal was to make it feel welcoming and personalized.

Custom Design Elements

Our task was to create custom joinery for the owner’s book collection. We had specific measurements but were free to choose the overall style. The only item to retain was a silver and white wall clock. We used the apartment’s scenic views and the clock’s sleek design as our inspiration.

Updating the Color Scheme

We replaced the old yellow and green palette with a modern mix of whites, greys, vibrant greens, and black-and-white contrasts. This fresh approach introduced a contemporary and masculine vibe, reflecting both the apartment’s environment and the owner’s Asian influences.

Incorporating Textures and Light

To enhance the space, we added a variety of textures through custom bedheads, Roman blinds, sofas, armchairs, and ottomans. We selected a white marble dining table to brighten the dining area, effectively transforming the space with more light and vibrancy.

The Final Touch

The completed redesign now offers a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere, perfectly suited to its beautiful setting and the owner’s personal style. This apartment is now a perfect blend of elegance and relaxation in Jakarta Selatan.
